Welcome!
Potter | Teacher | Artist
Sia Eliza Hoyt is a functional potter and teacher with deep roots in traditional craft and design. Trained through immersive apprenticeships with renowned ceramicists Dan Vito (Fireborn Studios) and John Bogard (Planet X Pottery), and as a Resident Artist at Touchstone Center for Crafts, she has worked in wood, gas, and electric firing, co-founded two pottery studios, and developed apprenticeship programs for young makers. From her home studio, she creates wheel-thrown stoneware inspired by the landscapes and elements she loves, merging form and function to bring beauty, connection, and a sense of grounding into everyday life.
Classes
With 25+ years of experience in teaching art, Sia brings a spirit of discovery, creativity and wonder to the classroom, combining her love for youth, her passion for ceramics, and her skill. She teaches all ages.
